Program of Digital Inclusion SETREM 2010
The
Project Virtual Community, that in the second semester of 2002 passed to be
call PROGRAM OF DIGITAL INCLUSION SETREM 2010, due to its grand, it began
in November of 2001 with the cadaster of the interested in the Schools, City
hall, Banks, Supermarkets, ACI and SETREM, with posterior selection and popularization
of the program of the basic courses of computer science in the communication
means, that began in a free way on this year of 2002, trying to assist the
community of lower income and having as objective to facilitate to a largest
number of people of Três de Maio society the contact and the basic knowledge
of computer science, contemplating more people to the access to the information,
improving the technological development of our municipal district and contributing
to the development of the area.
The Program of Digital inclusion SETREM 2010 is coordinated by the Technical
Course of Computer science - CTI and for the Course of graduation in Systems
of Information in partnership with students, academics and teachers.
In the year of 2001, 1.067 people registered for the program, in that the
opportunity they filled a cadaster with name, identity, CPF, telephone, address,
sex, date of birth, professional situation, dwelling, school level, knowledge
in computer science I (without knowledge), II (basic knowledge) and III (advanced
knowledge), available shift and surrender family.
They were requested these data with the intention of, in a next stage, to
do the selection of the same ones for the formation of the groups. On this
year of 2002 the registrations continue and they could be accomplished in
the own Institution - Getúlio Vargas Unity. This program doesn't have
end in 2002, it is going on approximately next six years.
The whole investment in this program will be of the Institution, as it was
already mentioned previously. It is a program in partnership with students,
academic and teachers, where the didactic material and the facilities are
supplied by the Institution.
In April of 2002, they began the classes of the Program of Digital inclusion
indeed SETREM 2010, with the formation of the groups. Initially, sixteen groups
were formed, being called 400 people for the first stage of the program, and
the criterion for the selection approach was the age group (beginning for
the more drop) and the knowledge level in smaller computer science; trying
to reach the purpose of the program that is social community. One of the factors
that limited the formation of the first groups were the available schedules
to the classes, and the Institution needs to continue with its internal procedures.
In the second semester of 2002, the Institution will receive a considerable
investment in the computer science area,so we could form a larger number of
groups.
In this first stage of the program - knowledge I, the groups are having knowledge
in Windows, Word and Internet. The course has a hourly load of 20 hours class.
The next stage of organization of the program was the popularization, in the
communication means, of the people's names selected for the year of 2002,
dates and schedules. The week previous to the beginning of the classes, the
lists were disclosed in the Cooperjornal and Semanal newspapers, in Colonial
Radio in the program Warnings and Communications and Point of the Pencil and
also in Cidade Canção FM radio station in the program Journalism
and Saturday Show, where teacher Maidi Dalri, coordinator of the program,
gave an interview explaining what is the Program, whichis the objective, time
of duration and the public that it tries to assist.
They were also posted, in the Institution, the lists with the first 400 people's
name that were selected. The other people that were not called for this year
of 2002 are in the base of data of the program and they will be called in
the year of 2003. Firstly, all the people registered for the knowledge level
I will be called. After that , the people registered for the knowledge level
II and III. The classes had their beginning in the second week of April, with
some fittings in the students' schedules, for the fact that they don´t
coincide with the schedules requested by themselves in the previous year in
the moment of the inscription. The support material for the classes was developed
by students Eduardo Alfonso Birk and Tiago Luiz Ferreira, trainees of the
Technical Course in Computer science and that are also being part of the program
as instructors. The students' frequency will be controlled by lists of calls
with the students' names, dates of the classes and the program contents that
will be worked in each class.
During the training period, the classes will also be registered through pictures
that later will be enclosed to the proceedingses of the program Virtual Community.
The students, in the end of the course, will receive the conclusion certificate,
but only who has 75% of frequency above. AS it was already mentioned, the
Digital Inclusion program will have a record where will be the registrations
of the groups that were part of the program and also the students' signatures.
They are part of the Program, Teacher Maidi Dalri - coordinator, teacher Maria
Cristina Rakoski and the student and employee Leandro Sieben as responsible
for the organization and popularization of the program and the students of
Computer Technician and Systems of Information as instructors of the courses.
